Mommy-and-me Egg Hunt

Today we had an Easter Egg Hunt with our mommy-and-me class at Polliwog Park. It ended up to be a hot, sunny day at the park, perfect for the kids to play at the park and search for eggs. Below are some pictures of the fun day.

Playing on the beach

Today was a beautiful day so daddy went for a run by the beach while mommy and I took a walk along the strand and then played in the sand and water. I loved looking at another girl swinging by me but when she got off of course I wanted to get my feet in the sand as well (monkey-say-monkey-do). After some time I spied the ocean and kept telling mommy "wawa" "wawa" "wawa". So, mommy finally took me to the water and we had so much fun dipping our feet int he ocean. It was a bit cold but I handled it real well. Many times I said "bye-bye" but as mommy walked away with me I quickly said "wawa" again. Hehe. Below are some fun pictures.

Mateo's baptism

Today we went to Mateo's baptism. Mateo is a baby friend of mine whose daddy works with my mommy. I had lots of fun, eating lots of food and looking at all the plants in the backyard. I was happiest when mommy let me eat the cake! See my fun pictures below (not so happy when she took my fork away).

Camping in Anza Borrego

This weekend we went camping in Anza Borrego for mommy's birthday. It turned out to be great weather (with the exception of the first night with howling winds which kept me and mommy up most of the night). Both sets of grandparents came with us, Sienna and her mommy and daddy came, daddy's friend Jeremy came with his girlfriend Morgan, and Marge and Thom came! We had such a fun time...it was great to get down and dirty. Sienna and I loved playing together and Sienna even explored so much that she grabbed a cactus with both hands! Eeek! It was a quick get away weekend but oh so fun and well needed for mommy and daddy who work so much. Of course I loved spending time with my Papa Al as always but mommy and daddy had to put their foot down at times when I was being fussy and Papa Al wanted to scoop me away. Mommy says that she wants me to "learn" (??) and she also wants her and daddy to be able to give me comfort and not always be comforted by Papa Al only. I don't really understand that all that much but I'll trust mommy.

Thank you everyone for coming to celebrate mommy's birthday out in the desert and special thanks to Grammy and Papa Al for cooking and cleaning as you always do!

Pictures will come when mommy gets them from Papa Al's camera. Stay posted!

Mommy's best birthday present ever!

Today we went out to lunch with Cadin and Aunt Lisa for mommy's birthday. We went to a Greek restaurant in Manhattan Beach and mommy said that both Cadin and I were so good the entire time! We ate lunch with mommy and Aunt Lisa, sat in high chairs, walked/crawled around the table, and were just very good and calm the entire time. After lunch Cadin and I got to play in the water outside of the restaurant and we ended up seeing Ryan, a girl from Beach Babies (my daycare). That was cool! As Cadin walked all over, playing in the water I stood up by the edge splashing away.

Below are pictures of us at the restaurant and below that is mommy's best birthday present ever!

After having some fun we came home and hung out for a while. Daddy called on the phone and while he and mommy were talking I stood up in the living room and mommy told me to "walk." So, I took three steps all by myself without anyone to catch me! I then bent down, stood back up and walked the entire rest of the way to the coffee table! Mommy was so excited she was yelling and clapping while on the phone with daddy. She got off the phone, got the camera and had me do it again so she could video tape it. I loved getting all the praise and cheers so I just did it again and again. Mommy even called Grammy and Papa Al who were coming down for camping and and shared the news. while on the phone with them I took 7 steps to mommy all by myself! Today was the day and I decided to give mommy the best birthday present ever...walking (or is it the best present?!).

San Diego Wild Animal Park

On Sunday we went to the San Diego Wild Animal Park with Granny M and Grandpa Bill (our Christmas present from them...annual passes!). I LOVED seeing all the animals! I said "hi" to all of them and really liked the ones that looked like my kitties at home (like the cheetahs). I also liked the elephants as I have one at home that I really enjoy kissing and holding. Feeding the ducks took some time for me to learn how to do as I first just wanted to eat their food. Once I saw them eating the food that Granny M was throwing I too would drop the pebbles of food down to them. Mommy got it on video...oh so cute. Grandpa Bill bought me my first "kids lunch" at the park; it had raisens, chicken fingers, chips, cookies and a drink in it. I loved the cookies and the raisens! My favorite part of all was after a long nap mommy and daddy took me to the petting zoo. I got to pet llamas (I think they were llamas!) and I loved it! I wasn't afraid at all and I even inspired another kid to pet one with me. While we were in the peeting zoo we saw a zookeeper feeding a baby rhinocerus out of a bottle...so cute!

I had a great day with beautiful weather...I can't wait to go back! See the slideshow below for our fun day.
